Inviting only the husband is a little extreme- and kind of weird. I can see how some people could be offended by public breastfeeding, but honey, there are ways to politely let the person know you would prefer if they left the baby with a sitter, or breastfed discreetly.

Yes it's her wedding - but inviting half of a married couple? SO RUDE no matter what the excuse! If you are worried about breastfeeding - invite the couple sans baby. The couple will either decline - or come without baby - either way there isn't a problem. But inviting a husband and not his wife is horribly tacky and kind of ionic considering it's a celebrate of a marriage where "two become one".

personally, if someone did this to me two things would happen:

1/ My Husband would NOT go to their wedding without me.

2/I would never speak to this person, whether they are family or not, EVER AGAIN. Anyone that is such a bitch that they ban someone for breastfeeding deserves to be publicly horsewhipped. WHAT A BITCH.
