I’m Not Buying That! Unique Ideas For Wedding Flowers
I refused to stress over the little things about my wedding, and I was on a mission to not be over charged just because it was a wedding.
“What are you going to do about flowers” my mother said to me practically at the last minute.
“What do you mean, I have my bouquet” I said.
“Not those flowers, flowers for this and that and this person and that person”.
“Ummm no, I am not spending money on that. Why don’t I just take hundreds of dollars and throw it in the garbage disposal” I said.
She ended up buying the flowers because she knew I was serious. Heaven forbid I save my money for my honeymoon.
You don’t have to be as extreme as I was, but if you don’t mind being different and you’d like to save a little extra, consider handmade flower bouquets- personally I like silk. You can either make them yourself by heading to your local craft store, or you can buy them online already made.
However, most unique bouquets I have seen so far are those made of crochet.
Here’s a crocheted bridal bouquet . I think with different colors it could really be a nice addition to anyones wedding.
There’s even a book on Amazon called Crochet Bouquet: Easy Designs For Dozens of Flowers
By the way, here’s an amazing set of crocheted flowers that I found on someones Picasa album.

It’s your wedding, you can do what you want. Don’t be afraid to think unique!

i love the idea of crocheted flowers. they’re cool and unique. you’re right, if it’s your own wedding, you can do what you want, and be as creative as you want… or if it’s not your wedding, you can suggest unique ideas.
