Two Maids of Honor and a Year to Plan?

Posted by Diva on June 11th, 2008

Q: I am having a tough time picking between two people. Is it ok to have a maid of honor and a matron of honor, or should I try to narrow it down to one?

A:It’s your wedding, you can have whatever you want. Heck, if you want 2 maids of honors, 1 matron of honor, and a man of honor you can have that.

Q: I know weddings take time to plan but I am having a very small one with no more than 25 people. Does it really take a year to plan that?

A: No.

People take long times to plan weddings for all kinds of reasons. Most often they say it’s due to the venue, and it’s true, some venues need to be booked at least a year in advanced. Then there’s the issue of dresses, flowers, and service providers but honestly I think a lot of people want to make it a longer process than necessary.

If you know how to make a list, get to the point, call around, and explore several options then you will be fine.

I know people who have had nice weddings and they planned it in three weeks. I don’t think I’d be able to do it that quickly but it’s possible.
