Q: I was going to hire a wedding coordinator for my wedding day but now I think it will cost too much. Is this something I need? Will I regret it if I don’t have one?

A: If you are having a medium to large size wedding then you’ll need the help, but that doesn’t mean you have to hire a coordinator. I’m sure you have plenty of family and friends who would love to help you on that day. Write down what needs to be done and ask someone close if they’d mind being your coordinator. Don’t ask someone like your grandma who wants to sit down, talk to people, and enjoy what’s going on; but ask a close friend or relative.

I didn’t even think about a coordinator but luckily my mom asked one of her friends to help out, and it came in handy. Plus there were a few ladies that day who kept asking if I needed help with anything.

So if you have the money for it, sure, support a small business. If not, then that’s what friends are for.
