If you get married in a location that doesn’t come with a piano or musician you may need to find the “here comes the bride” music yourself. Technically it’s called “Lohengrin” and it’s by Richard Wagner.

I don’t even remember what I walked down the aisle to. It was probably this song though.
The thing about “Here Comes the Bride” is that it is not a wedding march. Lohengrin has a wedding march, but it is back in Act 2. “Here Comes the Bride” is more wedding night music–the wedding party escorts Lohengrin (the knight in shining armor) and Elsa (the maiden in distress) to the bedroom and begins to undress them. It is worth noting that the marriage is not consummated, and the groom leaves town the next morning. True, he leaves in a boat drawn by a swan, after bringing the bride’s dead brother back to life to become king, but still maybe not so auspicious.
I am so anti-traditional wedding music. I mean, if that’s what you really want then knock yourself out, but its too old fashioned for me. I walked down the aisle to “At Last” by Etta James. My sister took a cue from me and she also walked down the aisle to a non-traditional song.
