I looked at it this way, due to the pattern of my past relationships ughh…I am sure not to let this man go. Everyone in my family knows I got me a good one and vice versa. Everyone coming to our wedding knows we love each other unconditionally so this will defientely make for fun laughter.

I consider myself to have a very good good sense of humor but I really don’t find these cake toppers funny. I kind of think they are trashy. I don’t know what it is there is just something about them. I also don’t like the whole smashing the cake in eachother’s faces things. I can’t help but think “you just got married and you already want to smash something in eachother’s faces?” A friend of mine actually read the other day that the percentage of couples who smash the cake is pretty high to getting divorces.

@ armywife That’s so true about advertising it in front of everyone. That’s embarrassing.

@Heather - I also hate the cake smashing thing and I made that clear from the start. As for the tape on the shoes…WOW. I wonder if the bride felt about it.

I agree with you as well. I’m also not a fan of smashing cake in each others faces. Other things I’ve seen that I simply detested - a groom at a catholic wedding used white tape on the bottom of his shoes to spell out “Help Me”. If you aren’t familiar, there’s a lot of kneeling during the ceremony so all the wedding guests saw it. I also saw a groom with a ball and chain around his ankle at a reception. Tack-y.
I did, however, think that other cake topper was kind of cute!

I completely agree with you. I don’t find this type of stuff funny. If this is how my groom had felt, or this is how I thought or others thought he felt, I would not have wanted to marry him. And I definitely would not have wanted to advertise these feelings on the top of my cake.
