The wedding industry will really try to get you. If it’s not one thing, it’s another. And they find ways to make you feel like you HAVE to have something or other or else you just aren’t fit to be a bride.
Some of this stuff is just a waste of money.
Grooms Cake- Why the heck is this necessary? Somebody please tell me why I need to not only buy an expensive cake, but then I have to buy another cake for the groom? Yea right.
(Most) Favors- I am sorry, but I just don’t get the favor thing. People say favors are to thank your guests for coming and celebrating with you. Ok…so my open bar, dinner, thank you table rounds, and thank you cards are not enough of a thanks?!? Now I have to buy you something that you will probably throw away anyway? Whatever… if you must have favors, stick to edible ones because at least you know they will be used. Otherwise, save the cash.
There’s more; but those are the things that immediately come to mind.
